POUTINE!!!!!!!!!!
For those not familiar with the Quebec delicacy, it is fries with beef gravy and cheese curds. Pure heaven. There are all kinds of poutine variations - poutine made with truffle sauce, poutine with fois gras, poutine made with chicken, beef or pork, nacho poutine. I personally like mine with green onions. Oh, maybe with some bacon.
The BF loves poutine. It's a must do/must eat for him when he's in Toronto. He's going to kill me when he sees this photo because he's going to want some and we have yet to find a place that serves authentic poutine in L.A.
Anyways, I'm thinking I may have to make a stop at Smoke's Poutinerie tonight. That's right, a poutinerie!!! The BF and I discovered it a few months ago. It is so good. If you're ever in Toronto, you must try it. They plan on opening locations in Kitchener/Waterloo, Kingston and Ottawa. Ideally I would love to be in Montreal having smoked meat with my poutine. It's hard to find bad poutine in Montreal, but I hear La Banquise and Le Belle Province both serve amazing poutine. I've never been so I would love to hear your reviews if you've been. As you can tell, I take poutine very seriously.

Yes! I'm looking forward to the KW addition. The only Quebec poutine I have had was on a ski trip at Mont-Sainte-Anne. I'd say skiing + poutine is a pretty great combo.

I've never had poutine, but anything with truffle sounds good to me!!
so this is poutine... interesting i wonder why it's only a canadian thing
