Hello Lovah...
Project Condo has taken me away from my regularly scheduled shopping trips (and depleted the shoe funds, majorly). These purple beauties may be exactly what puts me back on track. Aren't they lovely? Both cute and sexy. A little on the pricey side (US$312.33) but free shipping on endless.com. Must covet a little more. Yes, Sheila, they come in Fuchsia. :)

Weekend Lowdown
As I mentioned, I spent most of Saturday hungover due to too much Prosecco from the night before, so I spent most of that day cleaning, packing, reading and blogging. Oh, and I did some online shopping!:) Check out my new shoes. Cute non?

Mo's (from Pink Argyle) recent blog on "short and cute shoes" made me realize that I was in desperate need of a new pair of black flats. So I checked out a few of my favourite shoe stores in the T.dot, shoved my right foot in many pairs of black flats and ultimately gave up when I tried on a pair of Franco Sarto mid-heel, black patent peep toe pumps (it's time to wave the white flag when you end up with a totally different pair of shoes than what you set out to find!) I continued my search Saturday night online and instantly fell in love with "Dame." I'll meet them this Friday when the BF brings them with him. (He's a shoe mule). And thanks to Zappos for upgrading my shipping at no extra charge! They really are in the business of 'customer service!'
Speaking of shoes, I recently came across this except from the book Vintage Shoes: Collecting and Wearing Twentieth Centurty Designer Footwear. The excerpt provides advice on buying vintage shoes, where to buy them and how to distinguish shoes from different decades. For example, stilettos from the 50's have metal heel tips as opposed to plastic ones. To read the excerpt, click here or see the book on Amazon.com.

How was your weekend? (To my neighbours to the south, how's your Memorial weekend so far?)

Groundhog Day Goodness
Just as I was about to curse Wiarton Willie for seeing his shadow (I'm so done with my winter boots!), I happened upon images from J.Crew's new wedding campaign.

J.Crew is a bit pricey for those of us north of the border once you factor in the exchange rate, shipping and custom brokerage fees* but if you're looking for romance, elegance and colours that pop....you have to see the rest of the collection on the J.Crew site.
*If you have your heart set on J.Crew and have a friend/family member in the US, ship your purchase to them to save a little on the shipping and/or custom brokerage fees.

I love the tiered gatherings on this dress!
And I'm totally crushing on this silk bridesmaid's dress.....

and this one....

with these shoes!
